RENEWING YOUR MEMBERSHIP OR ENROLLING AS A NEW MEMBER IN 2021

In this post we shall explain the procedure for renewing your membership for 2021 or joining as a new member.

 

I am a member of AMACS and I held Police firearm licences in 2020.

  1. Visit AMACS 2021 Online Renewal and log in with your mobile and AMACS nos.
  2. Check your details and and correct them, if necessary;
  3. Upload a recent passport-type photo of yourself;
  4. Select at least one club or support our work by selecting all clubs;
  5. Update your licences and tick any newly-granted ones*;
  6. Select your insurance cover. If you are insured elsewhere tick ‘Other’**;
  7. Proceed to pay securely through the system;
  8. You may now print your membership book and insurance certificate.
  9. Alternatively, download the 2021 membership renewal form, fill it in and either post it along with your payment or come over in person to settle.

* If you have been granted a Target Shooter Licence A Special and wish to renew it, you are obliged to send us a scan of your shooter logbook confirming that you have attended at least two range sessions using firearms with high-capacity magazine.

** The TPL cover is mandatory for all licensed shooters while the PA is optional. However, we recommend that that you have both.

 

I am a member of another club and I held Police firearm licences in 2020.

  1. Download the 2021 membership application form, print it and fill it in clearly;
  2. Call the AMACS office on 77411600 to fix an appointment for an interview;
  3. At the interview hand over the documents and pay the fees;
  4. You will be granted full AMACS membership within 3 days – It’s that simple!

 

I am not a member of another club and I do not hold any Police firearm licences.

  1. Download the 2021 membership application form, print it and fill it in clearly;
  2. Ask your medical doctor to endorse the form;
  3. Ask any two AMACS members to nominate and second you;
  4. Obtain a Police good conduct certificate;
  5. Call the AMACS office on 77411600 to fix an appointment for an interview;
  6. At the interview hand over the documents and pay the fees;
  7. You will be granted a 3-month probationary membership;
  8. You will be granted full membership at the end of the probation period.

 

The AMACS office is open every Wednesday from 14:00h to 21:00h. Phone calls will also be answered on Mondays and Fridays from 14:00h to 17:00h.
