Malta Arms and Militaria Society (MAMS)

MAMS is the club which gave birth to AMACS, being set up as the Arms, Armour & Militaria Society (AAMS) on 12 June 1985. It was AAMS which brought about the tremendous changes in Maltese legislation, which since 2006 has made it possible for Maltese target shooters and arms collectors to pursue their passion within a strict legal framework.

MAMS is THE club for dedicated private collectors, researchers and conservators of historical arms and militaria. The Society also runs courses for persons genuinely interested in the subject and qualifies them to apply for a Firearm Collector Licence A in terms of the Arms Act 2006.

MAMS organises exhibitions and talks from time to time, in tune with its mission to disseminate knowledge, thus encouraging the public to appreciate and conserve our historical heritage.

MAMS has its dedicated Facebook Group called AMACS Historical Research
