I agree 100% John.
Actually, the scores already climbed on average as compared to the first event.

As John says, we musn't get discouraged - within a short time I'me sure the scores will be very acceptable. Nobody should get put off with low initial scores - after all, we all have to start somewhere.

Hopefully, as the range situation improves, we'll be able to run events for more shooters and with more strings of fire - then we'll start factoring in timers...and it will really get interesting!

A sincere congratualations to all. I must say that competing is fun (win or lose) and the only way forward. It gives one more scope to improve...and improve we need to. Regular shooting will see eceryone's scores climb.
So to those who are discouraged, compete, yes even if it means competing with one's self to see one's scores improve. Shooting is a strange discipline for it is social, yet also very personal.
Our friend Michael presently achieved the highest score. I am sure that given the oppotunity to shoot and compete more regulary, we will look back and see this as an average if not mundane result. Only God knows what Michael's score will be by then ;-)
