As part of the AMACS 33rd anniversary commemorations, the Association is proud to announce that Ian McCollum of Forgotten Weapons™ (www.forgottenweapons.com), in collaboration with AMACS, will be in Malta on 11th and 12th June to film a few of the rarest firearms in local collections. This series of short videos will be featured in the Forgotten Weapons broadcasts on YouTube and other media.

  1. A collectors’ dinner with Ian will be held at 8:30pm on Monday 11th at the Don Berto restaurant at the Birgu marina. This event is open to all AMACS members and their guests who are keen on the fascinating history of firearms. Bookings are being accepted up to Wednesday 6th June. Please contact the AMACS CEO Franco Piccinino at info@amacs-malta.com or 77411600/21411600.

  1. On the following day, Tuesday 12th, Ian will be joining us for a shoot of historic firearms at the Gunblast range in Gozo starting at 10am. This will be filmed for a Forgotten Weapons video. Members who are in possession of a CL-A and TSL-A are invited to submit, by Wednesday 6th June, a list of any three firearms that they would be willing to bring to the event for shooting and filming.  Please note that we will have a very limited period of time to film the firearms and not every firearm offered will be selected for filming. However, we hope to be able to repeat this event again in the near future. Please contact AMACS Secretary Shane A. Hunter on sah@aquabt.com.

In addition to the above, the AMACS 33rd Anniversary Dinner is being held on Saturday 16th June as already advertised. We are pleased to announce that we shall be joined by two top officials of IPSC, who will be in Malta for discussions with the Sports Secretariat regarding the Ta’ Kandja national ranges. Come and join in the fun and support the Association as it approaches the realisation of another landmark objective!
